By day, Brian Kesinger is an illustrator at Walt Disney Animation Studios… and at night, he is the creator of Walking Your Octopus – “Walking Your Octopus” -. In these illustrations, Kesinger masterfully mixes Disney style with a steampunk universe in which the adventures of two unusual friends take place.

And the main characters in these fantastic stories are Victoria and her pet octopus, Otto. How did such a seemingly crazy idea come about? “Everybody identifies with living with an animal,” Kesinger said. What I wanted to do with Otto and Victoria is answer the question, ‘What if your pet was an octopus? As soon as you do, humorous scenarios start to emerge such as how difficult it would be to get her used to live at home when she is filling everything with ink.
